Au Jardin de Jolyne/Méditation - Peace Meditation



The "World Peace Meditation" below is one of the most beautiful one I ever heard. Everybody wishes peace to the world they love, but not everyone does something for it. The cycle of war or violence is always perpetuated by people for who, profit, control or other self interests, are more important than peace or love for humanity.

Since the beginning of humanity we never found a way out of that cycle because we have aversion to taking on the discipline in order to develop our subconscious mind and train it to concentrate through meditation practice. Suffering comes and goes within an individual. We all have ups and downs. But, beyond such ups and downs, through that habit to meditate, one person can attain a more even keel, and one's mind can drop down to a deeper, more pleasant and abiding state of calm and concentration.

Also, just as the cycle of war and peace can be calmed within, it can be calmed in the world at large, and when an individual does this kind of internal work, he helps the external world to move in the same direction. It's a basic principle that when you feel loving-kindness, serenity, good feeling, etc... it rubs off on those around you.

Even though you may not see immediately the results of your inner work and prayers, they are making a difference. You are preparing the way for a better world for yourself, your children, and also, for future generations.

First of all find a place where you will not be disturbed. Clear your mind by breathing profondly and, as you breathe in, imagine you are breathing in light, calling light to yourself. Feeling that peace inside you, imagine now that in front of you is a being of peace, an angel or an inner guide if you prefer, one who is here to work with you.

While breathing in loving kindness and compassion, draw it into your heart for your own well-being. Feel the healing. Now extend this loving energy to someone you care deeply for.

At the end, let this heart of compassion envelop your own body and mind and feel it completely... letting this deep feeling continue to extend out to the whole world, to all beings everywhere...

So, if you want, take this small period of your day for yourself, take this small portion of your time for the humanity and, all together, lets do this beautiful World Peace Meditation!...

"... And notice now, as all the forms, all the bodies, all the structures ... Melt and fade away into one ..."


"May we all be happy. May we all let go of the suffering that binds us and return to our true nature. May we be at peace."

Let’s begin our meditation for
eace.


Realize now that you are adding your voice to the millions of people around the world holding the intention of love and peace for the world in our hearts.

Time and time again, we see that more anger and resentment is not enough to end the cycle of violence. And since the world is nothing but a reflection of our combined consciousness, peace in the world today can only come from our inner peace.

First of all, find a comfortable position. If you’re familiar with lotus or half lotus posture you may assume one of those positions. Otherwise, you may sit on the edge of a chair or cross-legged on the floor. As always, make sure you can sit comfortably and that your back is straight and your body is in alignment.


 

So let’s begin our meditation with some deep breathing...


 

When you’re ready, close your eyes, take a deep breath in, and hold it for the count of


Three ... Two ... One ...

And just let go.

Letting go of all the cares and concerns of the day, letting go of all thoughts and worries, just allowing all the stress and tension to begin now to fade away.

Now I want you to begin to breath slowly and deeply, taking a deep breath in from the tummy area. As you breathe out, allowing the tummy to deflate naturally...
That’s right.

Now I'd like you to take three, long deep breaths from your tummy, in your own time, each time allowing your stomach to fill with air. And when you've completed those three breaths, just allow your breathing to return to normal again.

Now I invite you to notice a source of golden light emanating from above your head. And as you breathe in, notice how the light gets bigger, stronger, brighter, with each and every breath you take, you can feel the physical relaxation ...

Deepening ... Deeper ... and Deeper ... Stronger ... Bigger ... Brighter ...

The light source above your head gets, with each and every breath you take.

As the light source gets brighter and brighter with each and every breath you take, you can feel your body getting heavier, more and more relaxed.


 

And now, notice as the light above you begins to pour into the crown of your head, filling the top of your head with a feeling of warmth, love, joy and peace.

Filling up your face ... Allowing that warmth to spread through your neck and your shoulders. Pouring into your heart. Feel the warm energy of love and peace filling up your heart and overflowing down to your solar plexus, like a pure, warm waterfall.


  • Filling up your tummy with the warm energy of love and peace...

  • Filling up your legs...

  • Filling up your knees...

  • Filling up your feet...


Feel that warm energy of love and peace filling up every part of your body, diffusing into every cell, every molecule, every atom of your body and who you are.

Realize now, the centre of this energy is in your heart ...
Your heart, pouring out love and peace to every part of your body, to every part of your mind ...

Feeling the essence of

ho You Really Are!..


 

As you look around, and see the loving energy all around you, you can now see our planet, from a distance, slowly turning along it’s axis, and notice how peaceful our planet looks, and ...

Allow the warm loving energy of love and peace to flow from your heart, out to the world, surrounding it, enveloping it.

  • See the golden light...

  • See the warm energy of love and peace, filling up the atmosphere, holding the world in this energy...

  • See the love and the peace reaching out to all living beings...

  • Notice as our combined energy of love and peace connects every plant, every animal, every person...

  • Notice as our energy fills them up...


Every animal, every plant, every being on the planet transformed with our combined energy of love and peace.

And notice now, as all the forms, all the bodies, all the structures ... Melt and fade away into one ...

So that all we hear, all we see, and all we feel is this

Peace Meditation (August 2006)
was the first meditation I received and for me, with
Gratitude Meditation (FREE MP3 - Sept. 2005),
it is again the best one too..

Since that time, each day I do these two meditations. They help me to begin my day with gratitude, love, peace and serenity deeply inside me. These meditations with few others help me to live, to love, lo learn and to grow. This is the purpose of my live in earth after all.
